Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season

In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.

The questline centers on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This release also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
